2. Try it: Review the Design Ribbon

The Design View displays the Table Fields as a List. The list includes the Field Name, Data Type, and Description.

 

There are eleven Data Types including: Text, Memo, Date/Time, Currency, AutoNumber, Yes/No, OLE Object, Hyperlink, Attachment, Calculated and the Lookup Wizard.

 

The Design Tools are:

What Else Do You See?

When you select a Field Name from the list on the top, Access will show the General Field Properties on the bottom in the little reference pane.
