Edit the Field Properties

Many of the Field Properties are simple... and they make sense. Say the Front Row Video store was located in Michigan. How many customers are going to drive in from Texas or California?

You can edit the Field Properties for the State Field so that it automatically fills in "MI" by default. There are only two letters in the abbreviation for the State. You can make the Field Size smaller as well.

4. Try it: Edit the Field Properties

Select a Field: State

Edit the following Field Properties:

Field Size: 2

Default Value: MI

What Do You See? Microsoft Access will add the quote marks ("MI") as needed.
