Behind the Scenes

When you used the Command Button Wizard you created an Embedded Macro. This is a new format for Microsoft Access 2007 and 2010. It cannot be edited by any previous version of Access. This demonstration will show you how to review and edit the Macro.

5. Try This: Review the Embedded Macro
Open the Customers Form in Design View.
Select the Home Button.

Go to Property Sheet->Event.

Go to the On Click Event.
Click Embedded Macro.

Do you see the three-dot builder?
Click the builder. Keep going...

Memo to Self: Why call the Switchboard Button, "Home?" On the Internet, Home means the first page in a website. The concept works here in a database, too. It is a term people use to navigate.
