"Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain!"

A commercial database never reveals the Form, Table, and Query designs. That would be like putting on a play and letting the audience see the backstage scaffolding, ropes and ladders. It simply isn't done. Allowing Users to edit the data directly in a Table is also a security risk.

Good databases open with an option menu, or switchboard. Some menus are simple: a list of tasks. Others use the option menu to help the users navigate. In this lesson, we will create a switchboard and learn some simple programming. In the next lesson, we will hide the database window and program what the User sees when the database opens.
