Data: Sort by Multiple Criteria

Sometimes, it is useful to Sort the information by more than one criteria. Say you wanted to see how much each sales rep sold by month.

7. Try it: Sort by Multiple Criteria

Select the entire spreadsheet.

Go to Data -> Sort & Filter ->Sort.

The Order is Custom: January, February, March

 

Click on Add Level to add a second Row. Choose: Sales Rep

The Order is A to Z.

 

Click on Add Level again to add another Row. Choose: Date

The Order is Oldest to Newest.

Click OK.
