Lesson 5: Working Overtime
Before You Begin: Start Microsoft Excel 2010.
Try This: Do the following steps
1. Open the MyName Timesheet that you created
earlier in this lesson.
2. Go to the Timesheet and select Cell H13. In this
example, it is the Cell that Sums the total hours worked.
3. Go to Home->Styles-> Conditional Formatting.
4. Select: Highlight Cell Rules-> Greater Than...
5. Format Cells that are Greater Than: 40
With:
Green Fill and Dark Green Text
6. Click OK and test the formatting as follows:
Enter sample
data in the Time Sheet so that each day of the week, (Monday through
Saturday has 8 hours. The Sum in Cell H13 should be 48, which is greater
than 40.
7. Save this
