What happens when you click on Compare
and Merge Workbooks?
User1 and
User2 both made changes to the same workbook. Say User1 went to the
Quick Access toolbar and clicked Compare
and Merge Workbooks.
Microsoft
Excel will update User1's copy of the spreadsheet with User2's
changes. A small window will pop up confirming that your workbook has
been updated.

it: Excel compared both versions of the Shared workbook and updated
User1's copy.
