Test the Macro

In the previous step, we created a new Macro and assigned a Shortcut Key. A Shortcut Key lets you run the Macro from the keyboard. Let's test the new Macro.

Before You Begin: Set up an experiment

Go to the Customer Table.

Select Rows 4 through Row 771.

Delete the data.

2. Try it: Run a Macro with a Shortcut Key

Type: Control+Shift+R.

What Do You See? By default, the data was replaced when it was updated, not added. This spreadsheet had 770 customers before the data was deleted. There was 770 customers after the Refresh, not 774.

Save your changes.Keep going...

Memo to Self: Remember, the first Row is the Header Row. So, there are 771 Rows in the Customer table when you include the Header Row.
