Here is a new challenge: how do you compare a range of numbers? What tools are available in Microsoft Excel to analyze your employee salaries?

 

Before You Begin: Please go to a blank spreadsheet, say Sheet2.

 

1. Try it: Enter the Labels

Click on a blank spreadsheet

Add the following labels:

Cell A1: Last Name

Cell B1: First Name

Cell C1: Department

Cell D1: Salary

 

Please add three sample employees and enter salaries from $45,000 to $75,000.

 

Select Column D and format that column for accounting ($).
