The Data, the Data, the Data

Microsoft Outlook is a database that you can use with a Mail Merge in Word or analyze with a PivotTable Slice in Excel. The Contact folder is a *real* table that collects all of the information entered into the Contact, E-mail, Calendar, Meeting and Task forms.

 

When you fill in the form fields for a Contact you can check that the details are accurate.

 

5. Try it: Check Full Name

Go to the Full Name field.

Click on Full Name.

 
What Do You See? You will be prompted to edit the Name details. By default, there is a check mark to show this window whenever the data is incomplete or unclear.

 

Try This, Too: Edit the Name Details

Select a Title: Mr.

Click OK to return to the Contact form.
