Merge Cells

Lets use the Layout tools to Merge the Cells in the first Row. The same option can be used to merge the Cells in the first column. Here are the steps.

1. Try This: Merge Cells

Select the first Row in the Table.

Go to Table Tools-> Layout.

Go to Merge-> Merge Cells.


2. Try This, Too: Merge More Cells

Select the Cells in A2 through A7.

Go to Table Tools->Layout.

Go to Merge -> Merge Cells.
