Drag and Drop Text

Our goal is to edit the words so that they go, “Horse Zebra Horse Zebra.” The action is called Drag and Drop.

 

Try it: Drag and Drop the Text

1. Double click Horse to select it.

Click and HOLD your left mouse button The cursor changes from an I-beam to a white headed arrow with a box under it.

2. Drag and Drop the word Horse between two Zebras. You can see a little vertical line that follows your mouse as you move it. That’s the insertion point. No surprises. When you release your mouse that’s where the word you’re holding will be dropped.

Play with it a little to get used to drag and drop editing. It works. It’s fast. And when you get the hang of it, it’s fun.
