Save Your Work

One of the most important things a newbie learns is how to save a file. The following pages demonstrate how to save a document.

 

Microsoft Word 2010 and 2007 have a different file format than the previous versions of Word. This lesson also shows how to use Save As to create version of your document that can be opened in Word 97-2003.

Get A Clue: Look at the top of the Title Bar. New documents are named Document 1, 2, etc. They are NOT saved. When you save a file you type a name and choose a place to save your work.
