4. Create a PivotTable with External Data

The following steps add fields and values to create a PivotChart using the Access table.

 

Try This: Choose a Field

Go to the PivotTable Field List.

Select: City.

 

Try This, Too: Add a Value

Go to the PivotTable Field List.

Select: CustomerID.

Drag the CustomerID to the Values.

You should see Count of CustomerID.

 

What if it says Sum of CustomerID?

Click on Sum of CustomerID.

Click on Value Field Settings.

Select: COUNT

 

And Try This: Change the Chart Style

Go to PivotChart Tools ->Design.

Choose a Chart Style.
