Layout: Cell Size Cell A1 looks funny because it is still as wide as it needed to be when the text was aligned horizontally, instead of rotated vertically. You can Resize the cell.   1. Try it: Resize a Cell Select Cell A1. Go to Table Tools ->Layout->Cell Size. Type the Width: 1.5"     2. What Do You See?
