Proofing: Thesaurus A Thesaurus is different from a dictionary or encyclopedia. A Thesaurus organizes words by their meaning, not by spelling.   A Thesaurus has synonyms, antonyms and related words. Synonyms are different words that have almost the same meaning. Antonyms are words that mean the opposite. 5. Try This: Use the Thesaurus Go to Slide 11 in the sample presentation.
